The mission of the US Army Garrison Ansbach Fire Prevention branch is to reduce the loss of life and property by providing leadership, development and administration of fire protection program, public Fire Education, Investigation, fire safety inspections and enforcement of fire safety code laws adopted by the US Army.  Assignments are:

• Fire Prevention Education for units, organizations, schools, CDC’s, new arrivals, family members etc.

• Fire Safety Inspections for all facilities within the footprint.

• Night Inspections for Places of Public Assembly.

• Inspection Administration, deficiency reports and follow up inspections.

• “Life Fire Training” for units, POL handlers, CDC staff and “Public Assembly” employees.

• Project Review and implementation of Fire Safety Codes as well as Fire Safety project supervision .

• Fire Incident Reporting and Fire Investigation.

• Distribution of fire prevention education publications and articles.

• Fire Marshal Program and education.

• Support of Fire Protection branch and administrative work.

• Check, control and testing of fire suppression systems as well as fire alarm systems.
